At Rebreath, we are driven by a profound understanding of the unique challenges faced by caregivers within the Black African and other minority communities who care for children on the SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) spectrum. We recognize that the stressors and cultural barriers inherent in caregiving can often lead to emotional and social issues, impacting both the caregiver’s wellbeing and the child’s development. Our organization is dedicated to reducing these disparities by offering targeted support, education, and empowerment to caregivers and families.

I want to take a moment to express my deep gratitude for this incredible group. As a parent of a special child on the spectrum, the journey can be both beautiful and challenging. Before I joined, I often felt isolated and unsure about navigating certain aspects of our day-to-day life. However, being part of this group has been a transformative experience. The practical suggestions shared here have not only helped me but also positively impacted my entire family. Recently, the respite program you organized was a game-changer for me. Meeting other parents who truly understand this journey was uplifting, and the opportunity to enjoy a spa and massage was something I rarely prioritize, it was such a refreshing and healing experience. To any parent navigating similar challenges, I want to encourage you to join this group. The support, shared knowledge, and sense of community are invaluable. Sometimes, just knowing you’re not alone makes all the difference. Thank you again for everything, Re Breath group truly means the world.
The respite excursion was a wonderful experience. Without Re-breathe, it is unlikely that I would have been able to have a break like this for a very long time. I was finally able to experience a rest that was essential in boosting my physical and emotional well-being. The Spa offered a calming and welcoming environment with friendly and accommodating staff. I hope that they can continue to offer similar sessions in the future. I also attended a very informative session delivered by Infinity SEND. I was able to go about the EHCP process and also explored how to navigate school meetings to ensure my children’s needs were being met.’
Since the day I joined the group, I have felt the love and the care that I have never imagined I could feel. It always feels great when you are among people who understand you and don't judge you so you can be yourself whenever you are with them. Re-breath has now become a family that I can rely on for encouragement, motivation, and many more. All I will say is thank you to all the members of this amazing lovely group.
Re-breath has been an excellent channel for mothers, especially for mothers with special needs children, it helps reassure and sustain them, to make them feel they are not alone in the race. There are so many activities that have been amazing with re-breath like organizing a specialist who came to explain step by step how to go about your child’s EHCP, the cake training session was amazing, I think Re-breath is doing a great job, kudos to them.
